RacingNSW - Country & Provincial Racing - Community Race Club of the Year 2012 

WINNER - Southern Highlands Business Awards for ExcellenceExcellence in an Event  and  2012 Business of the Year

The Club has received the above awards in recognition of its role in both the public and business community in the highlands.

When coupled with our previous award as the Community Race Club of the Year for New South Wales, we are getting close to achieving our business vision of :

• holding the best picnic race in Australia; and
• maintaining Wyeera as the legacy of our predecessors to be available for any worthwhile community event.

 This is a great accolade to the hard work of our unpaid volunteer Committee.

Planning is underway for 2013 and we have received confirmation from Country Racing that our date for this year is in the draft programme as Friday 22nd November.

The Southern Highlands is celebrating 150 years and the Club is planning to hold a "period Costume" event for the fashions in the field this year.

The Club has lost two of its Life Members in the last 3 weeks. Both Ray and Peter were part of the original organising committee and were given Life Membership for their long service to the Club and staunch support. Our sympathies go to their families.

Membership Renewals and AGM: Notices should be in the mail next week. All Members are encouraged to provide a proxy for the meeting to ensure we have a quorum.
